“I am so glad to have found Dr. Walser and his nurse Jackie. I also could not ask for a better result, and Dr. Walser called me personally after the procedure. You will not find a more concerned and caring physician.”

I was blown away by the quality treatment and high level of expertise of the UTMB facility. Not to mention I didn’t even know it happened. I have no side effects from the surgery. My wife and I flew in Sunday night had the procedure Monday morning and headed back home Tuesday morning and didn’t feel a thing.

Doctor Walser, thanks for posting.

And more importantly, thanks for trying to trying to establish relationships with the other Dr’s and institutions that are on the cutting edge – seems like a no brainer for you all to be comparing notes in such a specialized field. Thanks to David (1177025) for making this happen on the patient side with this thread or I might never have been aware of any of this.

You’re revelation at pre-authorization of ‘nearly complete’ coverage of focal Laser Ablation success is going to be a huge bombshell on this board. Are you able to share more details about how you do it?

I can vouch for the professionalism and efficiency of your ARNP, Jackie, personally as I talked to her during my own recent research on this subject – she’s amazing. If the University of Chicago Trial doesn’t work out for any reason, I’ll be on your doorstep soon enough.

Thanks again for your active listening efforts.

Cheers,
Robert

The entire staff at UTMB Galveston is outstanding

had my FLA done by Dr Walser Friday went in in the morning and out after lunch, everybody at UTMB were great Dr Walser and Jackie answered all of our questions and spent as much time answering them as we needed no rush, Supriya and Megan took great care of me during the procedure, I’m super happy with the decision to have the FLA done by Dr Walser

I had my 6 month follow-up last week. No sign of any tumor, great news! Once again I was treated quickly and efficiently by the staff at UTMB, and Dr. Walser and his nurse Jackie were extremely helpful, professional, and an excellent bedside manner.

Dr. Walser – I have also been in communication with Jackie. What a valuable, front-line asset she is! I sincerely appreciate the confidence – and honesty – from both of you and have no doubt the rest of your staff is second to none. Please remain a champion of ours!

Scott

Dr Walser,

I will echo the praise for you and your nurse Jackie. You both are a tremendous asset to all of us with this disease. My MRI CD is on it’s way to you for your review as I type this. Thank you to both of you for your dedication and willingness to go above and beyond for us and all your patients.

i would like to nominate Dr Walser for president of the united states ….

Dr. Walser and his team are just fabulous. Compassionate and thoroughly professional in all respects. All in all my FLA was a walk in the park. Went out for dinner tonight, flow is normal and no pain.

Check out the Tremont Hotel in Galveston one of the nicest hotels I’ve been in and a few blocks from the UTMB. Lots of nice places with in walking distance.
You’ll be impressed with the UTMB facility and Dr. Walser’s staff

I like Dr. Wasler very much. He said I was a candidate for ablation. But after discussion I opted for more active surveillance. I will continue with periodic MRIs. I believe the biopsies are too much insult to the prostate. This is my opinion, but nothing in the literature addresses this contention of mine. The biopsy only tells you where the cancer is and not where it is not. or where else it might be. The MRI give a picture of the whole prostate and as a layman it just makes since that that is better surveillance, especially over time with comparative MRIs.

I am going to stick with Dr. Wasler and would recommend him to anybody with PC.

You will never find a more concerned team than Dr. Walser and his nurse Jackie. My procedure went very well and the care you will receive is the best anywhere. If you stay at the Galvez, request an ocean view room, not a partial ocean view, BIG difference. The hotel is one of the best in Galveston.

I had my FLA on 27 Jan with Dr. Walser and Jackie, it was flawless. You could not ask for a more caring and professional team

Yesterday I had FLA completed by Dr. Walser at UTMB. As suggested in prior notes, Dr. Walser, Jackie and the entire staff are exquisite professionals.
Feel very fortunate to be a candidate for and have access to the FLA treatment option. Again, Dr. Walser and team – just exceptional in every regard.

Yesterday Dr. Walser performed FLA of 1 index lesion and another suspicious one on left side of my prostate at the UTMB facility in Galveston. We flew in Sunday. Sleepless night then early start on Monday. Nurse Jackie and Donnie are fantastic. Staff and facility top notch.

I had my FLA with Dr. Walser on May 5. Look on page 36 for a my May 6 post-procedure comments. Dr. Walser and his team are fantastic. You have made an excellent choice. Just browsing this discussion topic you will find many very satisfied patients.

I’m back from UTMB. I had my ablation done Monday morning. The entire staff at UTMB is wonderful. Better than anyone can describe on this forum. Dr. Walser felt good about the outcome. I was lucky in the position of the tumor. The only soreness I have is from the catheter. Otherwise, no problems. It was 59 hours from the time we left home until we got back home. The cancer is gone and I’ll be back at work tomorrow. It’s just unbelievable
